Hive Tags

An ApiTracer tag is an identification plate, laser-engraved with a DataMatrix code, designed to be attached to a beehive, a nucleus hive, or a super to ensure its traceability.

Two options are possible  :

• Buy rigid plastic labels with permanent engraving directly on our online shop (or ask for a price offer for the Pro version).

• Print yourself the datamatrix code and numbers for your hives on waterproof and UV resistant paper Novalith thanks to the label generator included in our mobile phone app . You can do it even with the free version ApiTracer Lite. 

Where you put your labels is important. Labels aligned make it easy to scan in the apiarie. 
On the supers, the labels needs to be at the same spot if you plan on using our weighing station afterwards. If you put two labels per super, front/back it helps also when you weight them, it is quicker. 
To protect the labels, we advise to embed them into the wood.
